Aspen. Dedicated to Michael Turner.

This is Aspen created by Michael Turner. I tried to create an image that was just nice to look at. Maybe she has her eye on the future. I don't know. I tried various splashes and water and so on but in the end the simplest approach looked best to me. As the water just ended up distracting the eye from the main focus. Its also inspired by william bouguereaus piece evening mood.

Modeled in maya, Sculpted and textured in zbrush, Rendered in Mental ray with displacement. Everything is 3d except the clouds. Hair is rendered with aspen. No comp work. Just touch ups for highlights and colour corrected. The clouds background is a photo I took just touched up and comped in the background. Hope you like it.
